adwords for advertisments and adsense are for website owner. in ad word website owner pay and in absence website owner earn.

Google Adwords is a advertising portal powered by Google where we can customize our ads in the sponsored links and for that we have to pay for each clicks. Google Adsense is also powered by Google by which we can earn money by placing customized ads into our website.

it the aspect of cost , the adsense is higher than adwords.

Adsense is an area on you website which you assign to google to show the adds and google will pay you a part of commission he will get when your site visitors click on those adds.
But adwords is the Paid PPC which google allows on the search results whihc you might have noticed on top of the organic results.
