    MegaUpload was raided by the FBI due to multiple copyright infringement reports.
    Of course, they're guilty of copyright infringement. The site needs to be more active in policing and removing illegal uploads.

    With the vast internet, they can't policed every site that breached the copyright policies.
    And since MegaUpload is considered the "king" in the business, the effect will definitely heavier compared to when they attack or shut down other sites.

    Not really the first, but the most popular.

    First =/= popular.

    Yeah, I know first != popular
    I always thought rapidshare to be more popular than megaupload until fileserve and filesonic came..

    True. They can't take all the sites down. There's another really good uploading site called Sockshare. And, you upload videos and then host them on your blog/site. Whenever i go to a free movie site online, i see videos hosted from that place. Also, VideoWeed is another good one. Those sites are still up and running.

    In the United States, Youtube is VERY active in keeping copyrighted videos off their site. Though sometimes music videos are uploaded by fans.
