How can you make your forum load faster?

My forum pages often load slow and i'm not sure why. Just wondering if there is a setting that will allow my pages to load faster or what could be wrong with the pages that are causing them to load slow.

That depends on the forum platform and template (and what you have in the template). Remove any unneeded javascript, ads, css, etc that you can. Remove images too. Then minify and combine all CSS, JS and images into sprites.

If you are running into your database being your bottleneck, you can optimize it, scale up your hardware, disable many mods and features which are database intensive.
