Obviously i'm not talking about adding 100+ links to any single page as that could be perceived as a link farm. But to say you are going to be penalized for adding new links to your home page or any page is unreasonable as most sites/blogs are dynamic and change daily/weekly to reflect new pages/posts being created. To say that you can't update a page to include a new link means you also can't link to your own pages. And, that would discourage new content creation and Google is all for new content. So it doesn't follow they would penalize you posting your links on your own home page.

So just your site is being affected? How can you be sure other sites are being affected just by adding links to a page? That doesn't compute.
