Absolutely. However, you can redirect your old URL/Domain to the new and do a change of address in Google Webmaster Tools. It may take some time for Google Index to adjust to your new URL/Domain.

There should be a way to redirect your domain from your domain registrar. Or, you can set up a redirect from inside your web hosting.
