    Hey all,

    I just purchased PhotoShop CS5 and got a big discount with my student ID I was using GIMP and just couldn't get it... but PS is so easy to use from the video tutorials I have been learning from Any tips or suggestions for a PS newbie like me?

    Heh, I got mine through a student discount as well

    Just keep using it, practicing, trying new things... Nothing beats trial and error with Photoshop. The more you use it, the more you will learn, and even come up with your own ways of doing things!

    What do you use it for? I use mine for photo editing, and minor graphic work for my website.

    First of all, learn all the tools. Remember that some tools from the pallet can be changed by keeping clicked on them. Once you know all the tools, it will be pretty easy...

    For people new to Photoshop, I always recommend doing tutorials a lot. There are plenty of tutorials online and the best ones are the unique ones you find on sites that are not very popular.
