It's easy to create a trackback url in blogger. That's all i know. But on vBulletin the trackbacks might require moderation.

Where do the trackbacks show up in vbulletin? I have been seeing forums where one can put trackbacks, but I can't see where it will be posted...

I agree that it isn't about the quantity but the quality. I can't stand to see the "great share" as a response. We all know already if it is a great share. What is great about it? You also want to consider consistency. And don't forget that posting is about meeting others and creating real relationships where you can share and learn. You might get a really good legitimate answer from a pal when you find yourself up against a technical or SEO brick wall.

They do that to increase their post count to get a signature link.

On really good forums, those spammy type posts are quickly deleted.

Yeah. But there are times that they do this fast enough before getting caught...

That's OK, when I delete the spammy posts, they will drop down below the post minimum and forfeit signature line anyway.

To curb the signature link spammers on my own forum, I delete their account, ban them by IP, modify their posts to say what I want, inserting keywords that will make that page rank high. In the end, I still win.
