E commerce Site
So a while back we had an order in from a client who wanted an e commerce site. This was the first order we had that involved e commerce since we are a very new company and mainly done some site redesigns. We went through and looked at all the free software available coming to the conclusion that most of it is pretty complicated for the customer. For example Zen-cart. My colleague who is still at college but has 8 years experience in PHP decided to start creating a very simple e commerce site for ease of people who are not so internet savvy. Here are some screenshots of how far we are with the project.
If you have any ideas or suggestions then feel free to post below since it is still an ongoing project where we went to keep improving yet keeping it simple. The whole point in it is to be SEO friendly and a very lightweight software!
Check here for some pictures of it so far.

We already have one client who has spent 1000 just to have it and for us to create a custom design for him. After he tried it he loved it and wanted it right away even with how simple it is right now.

How many products your client want to sell. 10 or 20.
It is not even worth to make custom shopping cart for 1000 bux. May be you can learn something.
if you friend is good in PHP,
then try, OPEN CART - that is the best shopping cart in PHP

Wow! Quite a good thing you're making there! I would also buy it if I needed a e-commerce site. It looks quite good as of now.

Yes it already has that. You can set it so it will ask the customer for a shipping address. Customer will then fill in the form once paid via whatever method they choose and it will log the shipping address and payment details on the admin panel as well as automatically emailing you telling you someone has ordered your product.
You can set prices in the drop down values in a simple way and the price will change depending on what you set.
