I have targeted personal development and its variants like personal development tools, personality types etc to drive traffic. Of course, I have embarked on optimizing my existing content with new keywords for SEO. Once I optimize existing content, I will have to add a lot of new keyword rich content to attract traffic.

I have never understood at all how Google keywords tool work, but I understand and now that keywords relevant to your niche bring returning traffic.

Sometime SEO focus on drive traffic to your site, but if content and keywords don't match each other, such traffic is not worth because a very low percentage of visitors will get back after the first (deceiving) visit.

This is main thing of SEO that select perfect keyword after that we write informative and interesting content for visitor friendly.

General keyword bring more traffic, niche keywords bring more enquiry conversion.

It always depends on your niche. Special keywords with relevancy to your niche will bring you more directed traffic, you could always get traffic that has nothing to do wtih your niche, but that probably wouldnt give you a advantage with revenue, as people will visit and leave
