I agree that search engine gives us traffic that's too obvious, we cant expect traffic from Google.

Let me clear it to you ...your comment shows that you haven't understood what the question is.

What are the techniques that can improve our traffic on our site.

I have 2/3 of traffic from Google, not just a search but blogs and links in forums, also gmail.

Was the articles related to the keywords you posted or did you find a way to integrate the keywords into an unrelated article? Only asking because i've ranked for unrelated keywords (by accident) and got massive traffic even when i wasn't trying. But as you say, usually good research is necessary for trending topics keywords.
