    Site gets banned

What do people do when their site gets banned or penalized by search engines? How does one come out of that?

I am not 100% sure but I believe your not able to do anything unless you can provide the search engine a valid excuse with enough proof to go against what they believe your site is doing.

Yea, it boils down to fixing the bad SEO that got the site banned and then notifying the SE to get them to put it back in.

    Re: Site gets banned

Usually when some suspicous acts are seen by the search engines, they put the optimization and ranking of the respected website on hold for some time.

This does not mean an exact banning or penalty, and aftre a while and returning the site to the SE friendly manner, the clock starts again.

I've heard there's a way to redirect from your main .com domain to a subdomain (that has same content as the original) on the .com (such as mysubdomain.domain.com) and that new site will get indexed as new.

Yes we can fixing the site and content, then notify Google through webmaster tool. For Bing and Yahoo, I not too sure how is the process.

You can fix the errors and then submit a request to Google to reconsider the site for inclusion in search engines. Or, redirect the domain to a subdomain on same site with duplicate content as original and then start new.

Wants a site gets banned you need to create another site that all content should be unique and have a quality information that convey to the visitors.

If you take the content off the first site completely you might be able to recycle onto the new site.
