There is a lot of controversy over the subject of dofollow and nofollow, and what it is, some believe getting nofollow is worthless, which is not the case, because of the natural building of links by anyone, and give a website credibility with Google when you have a combination of both. Plus, there is derived traffic from the nofollow link as well.

no follow links are links that are not being follow by bots and do follow does... do follow help your site to get rank and back links as well.

Do follow are those sites that shares their link juice and no follow are those site that wont let you have their link juice but it doesn't mean no follow sites are less important. They could be source of your traffic mainly if they do have tons of traffic of course it should be relevant to your niche.

Do-follow links passes your website to new directories and gives high backlink and traffic it's a kind of permanent link of your website to a specific site. But No-follow sites is not permanent link and it is a kind of temporary link.

Do follow links pass page rank to the site linking to it. But not no follow links. Can't say for sure though, but Google might still crawl the links on a no follow link. So it couldn't hurt to get those in addition, just don't make it your main SEO technique.
